Work Experience

Managed a suite of apps targeted at private aviation employees including flight and cabin crew, as well as dispatchers and private aviation owners, bringing them up to mark with the web app, documenting, and establishing a consistent app architecture in the codebase, causing the crash-free usage rate to rise to 99%.
Developed custom versions of apps specifically for one specific client, with custom functionality, intended to be distributed through Apple Business Manager and worked with the client on VMWare Workspace One MDM service, helping them deploy the app first internally for QA and later for production usage.

Consulted for a South-East Asian e-commerce app, building and shipping their community influencer program to further boost user engagement and sales.

Working on an open source Covid-19 vaccination centre tracker app written entirely in SwiftUI and Combine.
Working on a push notification dev tool app that will let other iOS developers test push notifications to Apple devices via APNS.
Working on a GPX export tool that will let developers working on location-based apps export GPX files from a location or route on a map for location spoofing in Xcode during development.

Developed two apps for a client that worked with XML SOAP API. Development included an extensible and resilient networking layer, advanced accessibility features such as custom VoiceOver text and accessible table cell swipe actions, Google Maps and Firebase integration for real-time para-transit shuttle tracking and relevant push notifications, and biometric authentication.
Migrated legacy code from Objective-C and Swift 3 to Swift 4.2 and later Swift 5, refactoring and adding documentation in the process, increasing future maintainability of the projects.
Worked with the design team on several app UIs, referring to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines as required, establishing app user experience native to iOS through partial or complete UI redesign.
Worked with the backend teams to adjust and fine-tune and design better APIs.
Helped migrate the mapping service in several apps from MapBox to Google Maps, Making the latter the only mapping service across all apps in their suite.
Migrated weather provider service from Weather Underground to OpenWeatherMap API, cutting upkeep costs of the app.
Implemented SSO login with Okta Identity Management.

Worked on a Swift Playgrounds implementation of Introduction to Algorithms in
order to understand the syntax, semantics, APIs and other features of Swift.
Prototyped a METAR reader app to translate METAR weather reports intended for pilots, and meteorologists to further UI and interaction design skills.
Worked on a clone of m-Indicator that helps users with Mumbai Suburban Railway timings, as an exercise in location-aware app design.
Developed a number puzzle game in which a matrix of numbers must be changed in order to reach a zero matrix configuration.

Developed internal webpages as part of the Auto-Optimisation team for other team
members to monitor servers and load balancers.
Developed pages for the database team and management to retrieve and tabulate statistics gained through ad serving.
As a founding member of the Email Monetisation team, devised a system to capture mail client or web browser metadata through server requests from within emails.

More than six years of experience in iOS app development starting from Swift 3 up to and including 5.8. Working knowledge of Objective-C.
Proficient with HTML5, JavaScript (jQuery, DataTables), and CSS3. (Certified Microsoft Specialist in Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3.)
